Product Engineer (Frontend, Platform & Infrastructure)

Designing and delivering the AI product experience across a multi-domain platform

Car Buddy is an AI-driven automotive platform combining chatbot experiences, marketing sites, and internal tools. I designed and built the initial AI chatbot interface and demo experience, translating early concepts into a usable product, while continuing to lead frontend development and platform stability across a complex multi-domain setup.

The Challenge

What Car Buddy needed to solve

Car Buddy spans multiple product surfaces, including AI chatbot interfaces, marketing sites, and internal tools, all supported by a distributed infrastructure setup.

A key early challenge was turning an AI concept into something tangible and usable, while continuing to support and scale the platform across many domains, environments, and integration points.

  • Translating AI capability into a usable product

The core AI capability needed a clear, intuitive interface and a working demo experience to make it understandable and valuable to users.

  • Managing a multi-domain platform

The product operated across 20+ domains, requiring careful handling of DNS, SSL, routing, and deployment configurations to ensure everything remained accessible and correctly connected.

  • Maintaining consistency across product surfaces

Different parts of the platform evolved at different speeds, requiring ongoing frontend alignment to maintain a coherent user experience.

  • Ensuring platform reliability

Infrastructure and deployment issues needed to be identified and resolved quickly to keep the platform stable and publicly accessible.

My Approach

How I tackled it

My approach focused on turning ideas into usable product experiences while maintaining stability across the wider platform. This meant working across UX, frontend engineering, and infrastructure rather than treating them as separate concerns.

01

AI Chatbot Product Design & Build

Designed and built the initial AI chatbot interface and demo site, creating a clear and usable experience that translated backend AI capabilities into something users could interact with and understand.

02

Frontend Product Development

Developed key user-facing experiences across the platform, including chatbot interfaces and marketing sites, ensuring clarity, usability, and responsiveness.

03

Domain & Infrastructure Management

Managed a large multi-domain setup, handling DNS configuration, SSL certificates, routing, and environment alignment across AWS and hosting platforms.

04

Deployment & Platform Stability

Worked across deployment pipelines and hosting environments to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the platform remained stable and accessible.

05

CMS & Content Enablement

Implemented a Sanity-based CMS to allow non-technical stakeholders to manage content efficiently without developer involvement.

Outcomes

What we achieved together

My involvement helped shape both the initial product experience and the ongoing stability of the platform as it evolved.

AI concept turned into a usable product

Designed and delivered the first working chatbot experience and demo environment, making the platform tangible for users and stakeholders.

Multi-domain platform successfully managed

Maintained and structured a platform spanning 20+ domains, ensuring consistent routing, SSL coverage, and accessibility.

Frontend experiences delivered and refined

Built and improved key product interfaces that represent the platform externally.

Platform stability maintained

Resolved infrastructure and deployment issues to keep the platform live and reliable.

Stack & Tools

Technologies involved

The Car Buddy platform required working across both frontend product development and infrastructure to support a distributed AI-driven system.
